I spent my summer as a Digital Marketing Intern for the Indy Chamber. During my time there, I was able to work on multiple projects for local businesses and organizations such as Junior Achievement, Indy Go: Red Line, Women in Business, Indianapolis Opportunity Zones, Indy Chamber Dining Guide, and more. In addition to these projects, I also sent weekly emails for Chamber members and staff, promoted member’s fundraisers /businesses on social media channels (such as reviving Dancing Ann on Mass Avenue), and worked various events. Two of my favorite memories are getting to visit Marian County Jail to provide marketing advice to inmates through the Chamber’s REDi program and participating in the first IndyFluence event!
In the summer of my sophomore year of college, I interned at the Indiana Public Retirement System as a Strategic Communications Intern. During my time there, I wrote multiple pieces for online and print media covering our retirement options and accounts as well as creating educational videos. I was also able to attend lectures and participate in Q&A sessions presented by Governor Holcomb about his tasks in local government. My favorite part of working for INPRS was the welcoming work environment and being able to answer clients’ questions about their retirement plans every Wednesday morning at the Statehouse Market!
